Description
Andreas Peters, a versatile German artist from Hamburg, works as both a photographer and a painter. His artistic career began early, inspired by his curiosity for foreign worlds, cultures, and the unknown. At a young age, he turned to painting, consciously choosing to move away from realistic depictions to experiment with flowing forms and colors. His works are characterized by an abstract and organic aesthetic that immerses viewers in visually uncharted worlds. His art, described as "Abstract Organic Macro Art" (AOMA), explores abstract, organic micro-worlds. Through the deliberate use of colors, light, and textures, he creates compositions that appear natural yet thoughtfully crafted. He combines sharpness and softness as well as vibrant colors with dark elements to achieve a balance between chaos and harmony. Nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Peters, whom he calls "the greatest artist of all." Elements such as mountains, oceans, light, and living beings are reflected in his works, as he plays with color spectrums ranging from soft pastels to vivid neon tones. His intuitive and playful approach gives his work an organic vitality. The creative process often begins with collecting materials and impressions, inspired by walks in nature or everyday observations. Light and technology, particularly his work with the camera, play a central role. In his studio, he creates an atmosphere of unbridled creativity through carefully selected materials and radiant light. Many of his works are characterized by warm tones such as gold, amber, and red, complemented by flowing movements and natural structures. These elements evoke growth processes or frozen moments of nature, such as the inside of amber or the depths of the ocean. Other works use contrasting colors like blue and violet to create tension reminiscent of cosmic phenomena or unknown worlds. The depth of detail in his work invites viewers to pause and discover hidden stories within the layers. Whether it’s chemical reactions, organic textures, or the creation of new matter, Peters combines light, textures, and movement into vivid, precise compositions that are simultaneously calming. His art balances chaos and order, untamed energy and deliberate control. Andreas Peters first exhibited his work in the 1990s in his hometown of Hamburg, marking a milestone in his artistic development. Most recently, he presented his works in Paris, showcasing his experience and artistic evolution. Planned exhibitions in Dubai, Switzerland, and Luxembourg hint at his growing international reputation.
